Citizens, I received some difficult news today regarding the state of my father’s health – nothing to serious, mercifully, but nonetheless it has me concerned for him. As such, I thought I would share two recipes that to me have always typified comfort food in times of stress – and this one for a cheesy deviled ham spread is both easy and delicious!
Yes, I know this is both kitschy and retro – but it is also really, REALLY good as a snack! 🙂
I normally only post recipes with an established historic provenance – but this most certainly isn’t one of those. It was born from hunger and desperation, with me looking frantically throughout my fridge and cupboard but only finding odds and ends and a lone, ancient can of Underwood’s Deviled Ham.
In my need, I ground up everything I could find that looked compatible in the food processor – and lo and behold, in the midst of despair – something miraculous was born!
As such, allow me to share this delicious recipe with you – it will help to make me feel better and bring some happiness into the lives of my beloved Citizens at the same time! It is also one of the easiest recipes you’ll ever find here on TFD! 🙂
