What more can I add except that this may be the simplest recipe you’ll ever find here on TFD – and certainly one of the most refreshing! This lemonade is also packed with blueberry’s famed health benefits as well, and the mint makes it especially delicious.

The Hirshon Blueberry Mint Lemonade

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup bottled water
- 1/2 cup lightly packed fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups cold bottled water
- 1 cup crushed ice cubes
Instructions
- To make the blueberry simple syrup, combine sugar, mint and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in blueberries and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until blueberries have broken down, about 3-4 minutes.
- Strain blueberry mixture through a cheesecloth or fine sieve; let cool in the freezer, you want this syrup COLD. Be careful not to let it freeze.
- Mix with lemon juice and water, stir, pour over crushed ice with a garnish of mint leaves and a few whole blueberries. Serve ice-cold. ☺
