My Citizens – I hope you have all enjoyed my 18 month reign as The Food Dictator, the 5-star Generalissimo of Gastronomy, leading you ever forward to a shining future of culinary glory! 🙂
With more than 400 recipes posted and more than 23,000 Citizens as members of TFD Nation, I am gratified and humbled by the groundswell of interest in both my recipes and my unwavering perspective on cuisine.
Today, you may notice a few changes on the site – we have tweaked the look and feel of TFD to be a bit more open with new fonts! There are many other subtle and significant changes we have made to TFD behind the scenes to make it run smoother, faster and with just a soupçon of dictatorial attitude. 😉
We have also made the site a secure one, as noted by the green lock icon you see in your browser address bar. Typically, only banks and sites where you share credit card info use this, Citizens!
Now, with that out of the way: I would like to ask for the equivalent of a cup of coffee per month from you all. 🙂
Citizens who value TFD can now support us *monthly* by clicking the huge red “DONATE” button or just click here!
Share a few bucks every month to help keep the server lights on, pay for my IT costs and perhaps even enjoy a fine meal or two as thanks for my tireless efforts on your behalf!
This seems a painless way to keep TFD both ad-free and solvent over the long-term, as it costs $500 per month to do all of this for you, my beloved Citizens. 🙂
Contribute more – or less – as you see fit. You are not judged on your civic worthiness by your contributions, as your Generalissimo leads with a firm and equitable hand.
Should you decide my work is worthy of a few dollars of your hard-earned cash, I will be profoundly grateful and inscribe you in the annals of TFD Citizenship in 24k Gold lettering.
With gratitude for your continued appreciation of my work, whether paid or not – Jonathan aka “The Generalissimo”.
Citizens, you have probably noticed we don’t use ads here on TFD.
YOUR support is what keeps the lights on – I can no longer afford to absorb the nearly $1000 per month it costs to keep the site running smoothly, including marketing expenses, etc.
You can make a difference!
