Ingredients

  • 2 medium bottles Heinz ketchup (TFD recommends Texas Whataburger Fancy ketchup instead – buy it on Amazon here)
  • 1 12 ounce bottle Heinz chili sauce
  • 1/3 cup prepared brown mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup thick steak sauce (A-1 style)
  • dash Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 1 can beer (TFD recommends Shiner Bock, the legendary Texas brew)
  • minced garlic (to taste)
